About
Dr. Ashwani Chopra is an eminent Gastroenterologist with over 50 years of clinical experience. He is the co-founder of Aashlok Hospital, established in 1984 as one of New Delhi’s early modern multidisciplinary hospitals.
Dr. Ashwani completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College in 1974, followed by postgraduate training at LNJP and GB Pant Hospitals, New Delhi. He subsequently travelled to the United Kingdom for advanced medical training, working as a Registrar at Chase Farm Hospital and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital. In 1980, he obtained his MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians, London.
On returning to India, Dr. Ashwani served as a Lecturer at GB Pant Hospital before establishing his private practice in 1984. Over the decades, he has built a distinguished reputation for his expertise in medical gastroenterology, digestive disorders, internal medicine and comprehensive patient care.
Alongside conventional gastroenterological medicine, Dr. Ashwani has developed a distinctive interest in integrative and holistic health. His approach incorporates knowledge of naturopathy, Ayurveda and yoga therapy, along with Reiki and Pranic Healing, alongside evidence-based medical care.
Dr. Ashwani is a member of several gastroenterology societies in India and abroad and has served as a visiting consultant at leading hospitals in Delhi. He has also been associated as an Honorary Consultant with institutions including Cromwell Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital in the United Kingdom.
